Winner of Bishop Brian’s Christmas Card Competition 2009 - Bishop Brian has now judged the children’s Christmas Card Competition. It was difficult to choose just one winner, but we are delighted to announce that this year’s card will feature the design of Alexandra Hopkinson, aged 9, from St. Baldred's Church, North Berwick. The entries are all on display in the Diocesan Office and some will appear shortly on the website. Many thanks to all who took part.

Bishop Brian Judges the Christmas Card Entries - Bishop Brian and some guest judges are today looking at the entrants to the Diocesan Christmas card competition. This year we had 34 children take part and they represented 8 churches within the Diocese. There have been lots of excellent entries and it will be a difficult choice. Well done and thanks to everyone who participated. The winner will be announced soon and their card will be used as the official Diocesan Christmas card for 2009.

Revd Alison Fuller on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square - At midnight on Sunday 4 October, the Revd Alison Fuller, Rector of St Columba's-by-the-Castle Episcopal Church in Edinburgh, will take her place in history as part of the major public art project, "One & Other" on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square. Revd Fuller is using the opportunity to demonstrate that church is about a bigger picture of inclusivity, something which she strives for in her role at St Columba's.
