A large group of all ages from all around the Edinburgh Diocese met on 5th May for the Diocesan Pilgrimage Walk. The adventure started with prayers at Melrose Abbey before heading down to the River Tweed where the group followed the river atop a rather perilous wall. Crossing Newstead, the route then headed up towards the Eildon Hills, stopping at the Thomas the Rhymer stone for lunch. Glorious views and good company were appreciated by all. Many thanks to Rev Maurice Houston, Rector of Holy Trinity Melrose, for leading everybody around his patch!
